Well, what you do while you camp can be determines in part by where you are camped. If you chose a very nice campground with all the bells and whistles, then being entertained is not likely to be a problem. That's one of the advantages of picking a nice campground is that you don't have to think to really hard about what you will do once you get there! This is where planning ahead also comes in handy.

Swimming - use a pool, a lake, or a river.
Boating - Motor boats, paddle boats, rafts, canoes or kayaks.
Tubing - Bring your own big inner tubes for floating or rent them.
Hiking - Sticking to a trail is usually the safest way to hike.
Campfire Stories - Anyone can make up tall tales that makes a campfire light up the night!
Cooking - Sometimes whipping up the camp meal can be one of the most fun activities!
Fishing - Be sure and bring the gear needed if fishing is on your agenda.
Rock Climbing - This isn't exactly hiking, but it has become every popular. It requires much caution.
Star Gazing - You may be surprised how much you can admire the beauty of the night sky when camping.
Bird and and Animal Watching - some people go camping for this entertainment alone.
If you attempt to do even part of the things on the list above, you should have no problem keeping plenty busy while you are on your camping adventure.
